PROFESSIONAL:

Pam is the co-founder of Pediatric Therapy Associates and the owner of the physical therapy portion of this private practice.  She has over 35 years of experience and specialized training.  She also owns Integral Physical Therapy to provide physical therapy services for adults.

  • She worked at an adult hospital in Houston and in the Hospital San Jose, Costa Rica prior to moving to Corpus Christi in 1975.
  • Pam worked at Ada Wilson Children’s Hospital and Driscoll Hospital for 17 years, most of those years as the Director of Physical Therapy.  Her main focus was on staff development to provide state of the art strategies for the pediatric client.  She sponsored several Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Cranial and S-I courses and introduced Physical Therapy to the NICU at Driscoll Hospital.
  • In 1992 Pam opened Pediatric Therapy Associates in cooperation with speech therapy.  Massage and Cranial-Sacral Therapy was introduced in 2001.
  • Pam has taught workshops and courses in Myofascial Release, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Pre-Speech and Feeding (movement section), Neonatal support and Total Motion Release.  She has assisted national leaders in NDT at a variety of courses in Texas.  Currently, Pam is teaching TMR Level 1 courses.
  • Provided Physical Therapy services to local NICU for over 20 years.
  • She has had extensive training in pediatrics and manual therapy including basic and numerous advanced Neurodevelopmental Treatment, baby courses, gait, Cranial-sacral therapy with Shea and Upledger, Myofascial Release(several schools), Muscle Energy, Strain/Counterstrain, Mechanical Link, Sensory-Integration, Orthobionomy, Kinesiotaping and Total Motion Release, Levels 1, 2 3 and Pediatrics.
  • Pam has previous pediatric experience in all formats including NICU, school-based, ECI, Home Health, acute general pediatric hospital, pediatric rehabilitation facility and adult acute and rehabilitation hospitals.

PERSONAL:

Pam loves her work and strongly believes that every child deserves a happy life free from pain or limitations.  When she was first introduced to Physical Therapy for children, she was hooked on the joy, and is thrilled to “open all the doors and windows” of their movement lives.

Alfred W. Schubert IV, PT, DPT

Alfred W. Schubert IV, PT, DPT, a South Texas native, is a proud employee of Pediatric Therapy Associates. Growing up in the Corpus Christi area Alfred found his passion for physical therapy, more specifically, pediatric therapy, through his college work experiences. He is dedicated to the health and rehabilitation of his clients and takes great pride in their success.

He is dedicated to the health and rehabilitation of his clients and takes great pride in their success.

Alfred is an alumni of Texas A&M University- Kingsville with a degree in Health and Kinesiology. Upon graduation Alfred continued his educational journey at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Alfred started with Pediatric Therapy Associates upon graduation in June of 2017.

Alfred and his wife, Kathleen, are residents of Riviera with their four daughters: Olivia, Addison, Kathryn and Charlotte.

Virginia Vela Goodwyn, PTA

Virginia (Jeannie) joined Pediatric Therapy Associates in 1994.  She provides treatment to children and adults based on treatment programs determined by a staff Physical Therapist.

PROFESSIONAL:

Virginia (Jeannie) joined Pediatric Therapy Associates in 1994.  She provides treatment to children and adults based on treatment programs determined by a staff Physical Therapist.  Jeannie has provided services in several settings including local schools, riding stables, aquatic therapy and infant development programs.

  • Jeannie previously worked at Ada Wilson Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi as a Physical Therapy Aide and then as an Assistant.  Her primary responsibilities were working with the residents of the ICF Unit and outpatient clinic.
  • In November, 2004 Jeannie was excited to expand PTA services to the Kingsville area providing the same level of quality of care that we strive for in the Corpus Christi office.
  • Jeannie has extensive additional training in the areas of Treatment of the Baby, Neurodevelopmental Treatment (several courses), Myofascial Mobilization and Release, Sensory Integration, Total Motion Release, Therapeutic Riding and first NDTA Handling Intensive for PTAs.

PERSONAL:

Jeannie enjoys working wither patients using all of her knowledge, strength and love that she has for the children.  She enjoys dancing, music, playing volleyball and having barbecues with her family, friends, grandchildren and riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson.

Kent is a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1980.  He is trained in Trager Therapy, Myofascial Release, CranialSacral Therapy and FLOW.  He works on people of all ages from pediatric to geriatric and offers a highly intuitive gift with gentle wisdom and care.  Kent has worked with the Physical Therapy office since 2001.  He has had many types of jobs and experiences and currently enjoys gardening and photography. .

Linda Savage, LMT

Linda has practiced massage therapy since 1985.  She has also been trained in Trager Therapy, Myofascial Release, CranialSacral Therapy and Polarity Therapy.

Linda has worked with the Physical Therapy office since 2002 with a clientele ranging from teenagers to adults.  She lives in the country where she enjoys gardening, bead weaving and most of all, spending time with her granddaughter.

Madison Goodwyn

Madison is a college student pursuing a degree in environmental science. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her plants and eventually would like to make some sort of impact on our communities environmental awareness. Until then, Madison takes pride in making sure the front office works as efficiently as possible and strives to get our patients the service they need.

Alyssa Garza, PTA

Alyssa is a physical therapist assistant graduate from Del Mar college. She has an associate of science and an associate of applied science for physical therapist assistant. She is going to pursue a bachelors in the future but for now she is currently working to expand her knowledge in the pediatric setting of physical therapy. Alyssa is from Alice and commutes to the corpus and the Kingsville office, she’s happy to be a part of such an amazing team who provides quality care. Her hobbies are going to the gym and spending time with my family.
